Transportation task force seeks regional approach

On Dec. 14, 2007, mayors of Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius and Mooresville announced formation of a regional task force to examine local road, transit and transportation issues. Following is a summary of meeting dates and topics.

In mid-April 2008, the Task Force issued a draft final report, and sent it to the town boards of the four towns for consideration. It proposes the creation of a new permanent regional transportation group, and suggests funding sources. See the report, CLICK HERE>

Meetings were Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m., at Cornelius Town Hall, January through early April 2008. More information is available on the Town of Davidson website.

Click on links for each meeting date for coverage on DavidsonNews.net. Also, minutes of the meetings through Feb. 20 are available from the task force.
