Christmas is a little more than a week away & most of the homes around our gorgeous Lake Norman area are decorated, but if you are looking to change things up a little this year, I am posting a few ideas that are a little different than the tried & true.

Don’t retire your summer outdoor lanterns yet ~ incorporate them into your holiday decor ~

Gather up your colored vases, clip some evergreens & adorn with ornaments & ribbon ~

Select a non-traditional color & work your entire decor around it like this blue & white theme ~

Make your own fabric covered or ribbon trees ~

Try adding a disco ball into your decor ~

Add a holiday wall decal ~

Or make a straw wreath ~
