Young runners and parents in Davidson’s McConnell neighborhood this summer have organized an informal running club that meets twice weekly on the neighborhood’s “Big Green.” Co-organizer Courtney Spear says they welcome other runners to join in.
The group, dubbed the McConnell Running Club, meets on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:45 a.m. and is geared towards 9- to 14-year-old girls and boys. And they’re pointing toward a goal of running a road race next month. Read the full story
