Davidson Athletics hosted its annual Meet the Wildcats Fan Day Saturday on the Davidson Town Green. Fans met Davidson coaches and athletes from men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey and volleyball.

All five teams signed autographs, and children enjoyed the Kids Zone, with inflatable sports games and other activities. Fans also ‘dunked’ their favorite athletes in the Davidson Dunk Tank.
Also, lucky fans won prizes in the free raffle drawings. Prizes included two universal season tickets (valued at $900), football and men’s soccer season tickets, autographed team memorabilia and more.

Wildcats' logos past and present. What will the new one look like? Find out Saturday.
Over the decades, Davidson College’s Wildcat has had a variety of looks, from the growling cat of the 1920s to the cartoonish versions of the 1950s and 1960s to the current pointy-eared cat. Now the college has redesigned the Wildcat logo,
which appears on banners, fliers and T-shirts and other “spirit” wear.
What will it look like? Find out Saturday when it is unveiled at the annual Meet the Wildcats Fan Day Saturday, Aug. 14, at 1 p.m., on the Village Green.
