Davidson Wildcats captains for 2013-14 were named Tuesday, from left: Droney, Kalinoski, Czerapowicz and Brooks.
Davidson men’s basketball team will have a quartet of captains for the 2013-14 season: De’Mon Brooks, Chris Czerapowicz, Tom Droney and Tyler Kalinoski. The four captains were selected in a vote by the team and the Wildcats’ coaches, led by Bob McKillop. Read the full story

Davidson College Athletics Director Jim Murphy and Davidson College President Carol Quillen announce Davidson’s move to the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Davidson College officials confirmed Wednesday what has been rumored for weeks, that most Wildcats’ sports teams will leave the Southern Conference for the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10), beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year.
“The Atlantic 10 is comprised of academically strong institutions located in areas where Davidson has a presence and seeks greater visibility,” President Carol Quillen said during a press conference Wednesday at Baker Sports Complex. Read the full story

Davidson College’s athletics department has scheduled a press conference Wednesday morning for an undisclosed announcement. College officials haven’t confirmed anything, but rumors have been circulating for weeks that the Wildcats might be close to leaving the Southern Conference and joining the Atlantic 10.
