Brandi Arey scored twice as Hough easily beat North Mecklenburg High, 7-0, Tuesday night in a girls’ soccer game at Hough Stadium in Cornelius. The win was the Huskies’ 30th straight over the past two seasons – extending the team’s state record. Read the full story

Davidson Day’s spring 2012 women’s soccer championship team received their championship rings at halftime of a recent football game.
Last spring, the Davidson Day School girls’ varsity soccer team made school history by becoming the first to win back-to-back state championships. The girls won the 2011 title and followed up with a state championship in the 2A division last spring. Read the full story
