For girls soccer in the Lake Norman area, Monday night brought a familiar result: a shutout victory for Hough High. Sarah Moon had a pair of goals and teammates Brandi Arey, Emmily Cowie and Brianna Cuevas also scored as the Huskies beat North Meck, 5-0. Read the full story

Lydia Drakeford and Sarah Moon both scored to give Hough a 2-0 victory over Jacksonville Friday in a girls high school soccer game. Goaltender Marnie Merritt had the shutout for the Huskies.
Brandi Arey and Courtney Carroll had assists for Hough.
Hough is now 11-1 overall. Jacksonville 12-3-1 overall.
