The Hough High School girls soccer team travels to Raleigh Saturday, May 25, to defend their 2012 state title. Saturday’s match is a rematch of last year’s final, when the Huskies scored a 2-1 victory over Green Hope to win the title. Kickoff is at 5pm at NC State University.
Hough is 21-2 overall, its only two losses coming to Lake Norman. The Huskies beat Myers Park 1-0 to qualify for the championship.
Green Hope is undefeated, and earned its spot in the final by beating New Bern, 3-1. See the full playoff bracket on NCHSAA.org
