Men and women age 50 and older are invited to participate in the Ralph Lambert Senior Softball League of Lake Norman, offered by the Cornelius PARC and Huntersville Parks and Recreation departments. All skill levels are welcome.

The league is named after local resident Ralph Lambert, who was instrumental in bringing senior softball to Lake Norman.

The season begins Aug. 15 and consists of 10 games, followed by a tournament Oct. 31 after the regular season. All games are played at North Mecklenburg Park in Huntersville, and team members can take advantage of open field time every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Torrence Chapel Park in Cornelius. Also, the league will host a “new player skills day” July 28 at North Mecklenburg Park.
