DC Force is an all-star team of 13- and 14-year-old players from Davidson and Cornelius. Teams from North Carolina and Virginia are participating in the East Zone South Region tournament, which is scheduled to continue Wednesday night, weather-permitting. The DC Force plays at 8 p.m. against Western Branch.
Coach Rob Carroll said pitcher Steven Farkas went all seven innings for the DC Force. The DC Force offense was highlighted by a towering three-run home run off the bat of Jordan “Killer” Kowalski.
Team members are: Alexander Ansted, Andrew Noble, Brooks Carroll, Corey Edge, Jackson McNally, Joe Salber, Jordan Kowalski, Matthew Doyle, Mitchell Newell, Trey Griffin and Steven Farkas. The team is coached by: Tim Daily, Rob Carroll, John Ansted, and Bob Kowalski.
