Laura Murray scored 16 points and Sophia Aleksandravicius and Barbara Sitton scored 10 each as Davidson’s women’s basketball team easily beat College of Charleston Saturday, 56-39.
The Wildcats led 27-13 at halftime, then held the lead in the second stanza to come away with their fifth victory of the season.
Davidson is now 5-4 overall, 2-0 in the Southern Conference. Charleston is 2-6, and 1-2 in the conference.
MONDAY GAMES FOR MEN AND WOMEN
Both Davidson’s men and women will be playing Monday night.
The men will travel the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., for a 9 p.m. game against Kansas. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU, as well as the Wildcats’ usual radio and online channels.
Davidson enters the game 6-3 on the season. The Jayhawks are 7-2, ranked No. 12 in the nation. More info on DavidsonWilcats.com.
