Davidson College’s men’s basketball team will travel to Presbyterian on Saturday Feb. 19, for its final non-conference game of the season as part of the ESPN-U BracketBusters series. The Cats are among five Southern Conference teams selected for BracketBusters games. Game time will be announced later.
ESPNU BracketBusters is a three-day series of games that match potential NCAA Tournament hopefuls against each other. Eleven of the games will air on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
Among the televised games will be College of Charleston’s matchup at Vermont. That game begins at 5 p.m. on Feb. 19 on ESPNU.
Under the agreement, Presbyterian will play a return game in Belk Arena next season, in November or December.
Davidson was scheduled to play at Southern Conference foe Georgia Southern on the road Monday night. The Wildcats are 9-12 overall and 3-7 in the conference. Presbyterian is 10-12 overall and 4-6 in the Big South.
The Wildcats and Blue Hose have played just twice, with each team winning at home. The last meeting was Jan. 18, 1965, when Davidson defeated Presbyterian 130-67.
