Davidson College’s football team opens its 2010 season on Saturday, Sept. 4, against Georgetown, and fans will find something new when they arrive at Richardson Stadium: a new “Wildcats Tailgate Fan Zone.”
Beginning 3 hours before every home game, they’ll have live music, inflatable games, face painting and other activities.
The new “fan zone” will be on Faculty Drive – that curving street next to the stadium between Concord Road and Baker Drive.
This Saturday, the Wildcats Tailgate Fan Zone will open at 3 p.m., three hours before the 6 p.m. kickoff, and feature the music of The Substitutes, a cover band from Indian Trail that plays a dance, R&B, Motown and classic rock. The first 200 fans to stop by the promotions table at the tailgate will receive a free Davidson T-shirt.
Parking is available on Faculty Drive until the spots fill up. After that, fans will be directed to the Baker parking lot.
