The 2010 Southern Conference Basketball Championships begin Thursday in Charlotte, and wind up with title games Monday. The Davidson College men’s team is seeded third in the South Division, while the women are seeded No. 6.
Early round games are being played at Bojangles Coliseum off Independence Boulevard. Saturday and Sunday games are at Time Warner Cable Arena downtown.

The Wildcat men finished the regular season 16-14 overall and 11-7 in the league. They wound up the season with an exciting 99-96 double-overtime victory at Elon Saturday night. And they’ll be playing Elon again in the tournament’s first-round Friday at 2 p.m. at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte.
The women ended their season at home Saturday against Furman, winning 65-52. The Wildcats will face Furman again in the opening round of the tournament. That game is the final game of the day Thursday at Bojangles Coliseum. The game begins 30 minutes after the Western Carolina-UNC-Greensboro game late Thursday afternoon.
Semifinal games in both tourneys will be on the SportSouth cable network. The women’s final Monday at 5 p.m. also will be there, while the men’s final Monday at 9 p.m. will be on ESPN2.
