A total of 4,784 fans – most of them wearing red - came to Davidson College’s Belk Arena Saturday night to watch the men’s basketball team defeat Georgia Southern, 84-74. It was the 2nd annual “Kicks from Cats” night – a fund-raiser that aims to bring sports and education to Nigeria – the home country of player Frank Ben-Eze and former Wildcat Andrew Lovedale.
The event raised money in part through the sales of red T-shirts. The team joined forces again this year with the nonprofit Samaritan’s Feet.
