April home sales grew 34.5 percent throughout the Charlotte region, compared to April 2012. Preliminary monthly data from the Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc. showed 2,915 sales last month, up from 2,168 for the same period last year. Meanwhile, average sale prices continued to rise, prompting Charlotte Regional Realtor Association officials to suggest that sellers are beginning to gain leverage. Read the full story

The spring home sales season is “well underway” across the Charlotte region, according to March sales figures from the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association and Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc. The association said Tuesday that home sales were 24.9 percent higher in March than a year earlier, while sales prices also climbed. Read the full story

Home sales across the Charlotte region were up more than 40 percent in January, according to data from the Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc. (MLS). Prices continued to rise while the number of homes fell during the month.
The January report came from the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association, based on MLS data. A total of 2,163 closings were report in January, up 40.4 percent compared to January 2012, when there were 1,541. Read the full story

Total home sales and average sales prices were higher in September in the Charlotte area, compared with a year earlier, Charlotte Regional Realtor Association reported Tuesday. The association also said homes spent less time on the market compared to a year ago.
Closings totaled 2,244 around the region in September, up 14 percent from September 2011, when closings totaled 1,968, according to Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc. data. Read the full story
