
Bedrooms are where we seek out the comforts of our bed at the end of the day. Despite being a room so used in our home, too often little aesthetic thought is given to how we furnish the room. Today, unlike our ancestors we have many options to choose from. They are vastly different from those at the dawn of civilization. Early beds have been traced back to ancient drawings of Egypt, Greece and Rome. At that time their basic structure was made from stone, metal and wood onto which animal skins and textiles were thrown. Decorative inlays or appliques, metals and ivory were often included on them.
