Fabric covered headboards are an option for adding color.
We are fortunate to have so many choices for beds today. They are vastly different from those at the dawn of civilization. Early beds have been traced back to ancient drawings of Egypt, Greece and Rome. Then, beds were made from stone, metal or wood, onto which animal skins and textiles were thrown. Frequently the frames included decorative inlays, appliques or metal and ivory.
During the 12th century, a big change occurred when beds became enclosed with drapes. Continue Reading
