Davidson’s Planning Board meets Monday, March 29, for an agenda that includes a vote whether to recommend Town Board approval of a rezoning for Woodland Discovery, a proposed nature-focused preschool on Mayes Road. The published agenda also lists a presentation and discussion of a site plan for a proposed Walgreens, at Jetton and Griffith streets opposite Davidson Day School in the Exit 30 area. But planning officials say that item has been taken off the schedule.

CHARLOTTE – February home sales in the Charlotte region rose slightly over both a year earlier and January.

According to residential sales data from Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc., there were 1,397 closings in February, up 3.6 percent over February 2009, when closings totaled 1,348. Closings were also up 2.5 percent from January.
