And then there are businesses like the one Brandon and Amy Morris of Cornelius opened last fall, called The Elements 4 Life Home & Outdoor Living. The new retail store on Davidson-Concord Road, across from the Bradford Store, offers both outdoor design items and gifts, and is a showroom for the couple’s 8-year-old business MINT Landscaping, for Morris Irrigation Nature & Turf. Fabric covered headboards are an option for adding color.
We are fortunate to have so many choices for beds today. They are vastly different from those at the dawn of civilization. Early beds have been traced back to ancient drawings of Egypt, Greece and Rome. Then, beds were made from stone, metal or wood, onto which animal skins and textiles were thrown. Frequently the frames included decorative inlays, appliques or metal and ivory.

The Trump Organization has won approval from property owners to buy The Point Lake and Golf Club in Mooresville, the Trump Organization announced Thursday. Eric Trump, son of real estate mogul Donald Trump, confirmed the deal, The Mecklenburg Times reported.

The Davidson Planning Board on Monday is scheduled to discuss and vote on whether to recommend proposed changes affecting the so-called Northeast Quadrant master plan in the Exit 30 area. Also up for discussion and recommendation is a driveway curb cut restriction in Phase 5 of the River Run neighborhood and proposed amendments to Section 9 of the planning ordinance, which affect window transparency on building facades.
