The Cornelius Planning Board meets Monday night, July 15, to consider a proposed rezoning for a 26-lot subdivision on 64 acres on Bailey Road, east of W.A. Hough High School. The meeting begins at 6pm at Cornelius Town Hall, Room 204.
Blue Stream Partners LLC is asking for a rezoning from “Rural Preservation” to General Residential and approval of a “major subdivision” for the neighborhood of 26 single-family homes. Read the full story

Home sales in the Charlotte region 31.2 percent in June compared with June 2012, according to Carolina Multiple Listing Services data released Tuesday by Charlotte Regional Realtor Association. Average sales prices also were up again, while new listings also rose. Read the full story

Bradford model from M/I homes
HUNTERSVILLE – M/I Homes says it has purchased 41 acres on Huntersville-Concord Road for a new neighborhood to be called Bellington. The home builder said it plans 99 homes on the site, which is east of I-77 Exit 23.
Construction is expected to begin in late 2013. The company said in a press release that prices are expected to start in the “mid-$200s.” Read the full story
