CHARLOTTE – Longtime Carolinas’ homebuilders Saussy Burbank and McNeill Burbank, which have been building homes as one company since 2001, said Monday they are combining their two brands as well – under the Saussy Burbank name.
Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 12, the companies will operate as Saussy Burbank, a name familiar in the region’s home-building market for 22 years. In a press release, the company said it is making the change to help market its homes, and to help customers “more easily find information as they search for homes in The Triangle, Charlotte and Charleston, S.C., areas.”
The change is in name only. The company is not changing ownership or personnel. “As we compete for attention of the Web, it is more efficient to promote one consistent brand,” partner Al McNeill said in the press release.
Added partner Jim Burbank: “We want all of our customers, past, present and future, to know that nothing is going to change other than our two companies uniting under the Saussy Burbank name. Our commitment to building quality, affordable homes and communities will never change. We just wanted to make it easier for our customers to find us, and for us to communicate with them.”
The company can be found on the web at www.saussyburbank.com.
Saussy Burbank has built more than 6,000 homes, from affordable housing to faculty housing at Duke University and Davidson College, and from upscale single-family homes to award-winning New Urban communities. Its projects can be found in downtown Charlotte, Briar Chapel in Chapel Hill, and Davidson Pointe, just north of Davidson.
