Allen Tate Co. said last week it ranked as the largest real estate company in the Carolinas in 2010, based on closed deals. Citing the REAL Trends 500 report, the company also said it ranks No. 9 among the country’s largest independently owned, non-franchised brokers, and No. 16 among all brokers.

Allen Tate is the parent of Knox Realty in Davidson.

The REAL Trends report ranks the country’s top 500 real estate firms.  Allen Tate closed 12,266 transaction sides in 2010 to earn the rankings, according to the report.

“Allen Tate consistently ranks among the top 3 percent of residential brokerage firms in the country, and continues to lead the Carolinas as the top-ranked real estate firm based here,”  Pat Riley, president, Allen Tate Co., said in a press release. “Our national rankings distinguish us among clients relocating here from other parts of the country.”
