Mark your calendars for an evening of fun for a great cause. The Lake Norman Comedy Zone in Cornelius, N.C. will donate one hundred percent of the proceeds from its February 7th show to Bit O’Luck Horse Rescue. 

 B.T. will be the featured comedian for the evening. He has performed at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival has performed on NBC’s “Friday Night Videos.” He has also appeared on BET Comic View, MTV’s The Jenny McCarthy Show, and FOX’s The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.

Twenty-six dogs strutted their stuff at the 3rd annual Think Pink Dog Show on Davidson Village Green Saturday, Oct. 22, helping to raise more than $1,500 for the Susan Komen Foundation and breast cancer research. The Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists will host a “Wild Over Lake Norman” festival and fund-raising party Saturday, Oct. 22, at North Harbor Club in Davidson to celebrate the Lake Norman region’s designation as a Community Wildlife Habitat.

Frisbee-catching dogs will be the center of attention.

Friends of the Animals in Mooresville will host a “Fur in Flight” fund-raiser on Sunday, May 22, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at Iredell County Fairgrounds in Troutman.

The event will include a pet food drive – bring unopened bags of dry cat and dog food for needy animals. They’ll also have food and drink vendors, beginning Frisbee training, a bungee jump, and other events. Read the full story
