A black male chow was dropped off at the Davidson Police Department Monday night, Oct. 15, around 10 p.m. The dog was found walking on Main Street in Davidson near Summit Coffee.
The dog has no tags and is deaf. He may have an injured left hindquarter. Because the dog was injured and suffering through the night at the Davidson kennel, Davidson police sent him to Charlotte Animal Control.
The resident who found the dog said he’s old, “but gets around pretty good.” Unfortunately, if nobody claims him, he’ll be put down on Friday morning, Oct. 19. See another photo and info on the CMPD Animal Control pets page.
If you recognize this dog, please contact Davidson Police at 704-892-5131.

A Davidson resident has found a dog wandering behind the Davidson Post Office. She’s very sweet, docile/almost timid, and appears young. The dog was found attached to an exceedingly heavy, industrial chain, as if she had been chained to a tree or fence. This dog is now at the Davidson Police department, 704-892-5131, and may be available for adoption.

NOTE: The initial report about this dog describe him as a female. Turns out that wasn’t right.
