The Cornelius Animal Shelter has pets available for adoption. For more information about these or other adoptable pets, please contact the Cornelius Police Department. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Read on for more about this week’s pets.
This week we would like to feature two new kittens, Toby and Tonto as well as Rocky.
Toby and Tonto are handsome, 3-month-old brothers who were rescued when they were about 6 weeks old. They are extremely friendly and playful, and have the most beautiful Bengal markings. They enjoy being held and would make great playmates if you are looking for a pair.
Rocky is an adorable Rat Terrier who was recently surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer take care of him. He has cute, black ears and a shiny, black coat. He loves to cuddle and would make a great lap dog. Please drop by the shelter and meet Rocky.
General information about the Cornelius Animal Shelter as well as a list of available animals can be found at http://www.cornelius.org/animalshelter. CAS is looking for volunteers. Information on how to get started volunteering is also available at the site.
