The Cornelius Animal Shelter has pets available for adoption. For more information about these or other adoptable pets, please contact the Cornelius Police Department. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Read on for more about this week’s pets.
Bubbles is a 2-month-old Pointer mix who recently arrived at the shelter. She has beautiful brown and black markings on her face and a big black spot on her back. She is friendly and playful and would be a great addition to a family.
Leah is a very mellow Maine Coon who was picked up as a stray. She has a beautiful thick black, brown and grey coat and an orange ruff around her neck, giving her the look of a lion. She is an older cat (estimated to be around 9 years old) who is very calm and quite affectionate. She would make a great companion.
General information about the Cornelius Animal Shelter as well as a list of available animals can be found at http://www.cornelius.org/animalshelter. CAS is looking for volunteers. Information on how to get started volunteering is also available at the site.
