The Cornelius Animal Shelter has pets available for adoption. For more information about these or other adoptable pets, please contact the Cornelius Police Department. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Read on for more about this week’s pets.  Erica is a very sweet, black, terrier mix. She was recently picked up as a stray in Cornelius. She gets along well with other dogs and is very obedient and affectionate. She weighs about 15 pounds and is around 4 years old.

Grace is a young, female, tortoiseshell who was picked up as a stray. She is petite and shy, but is gradually warming up to the volunteers.
