The Cornelius Animal Shelter has pets available for adoption. For more information about these or other adoptable pets, please contact the Cornelius Police Department. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Read on for more about this week’s pets.Kody is a handsome, brindle, Pit Bull mix who was recently surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He has the most adorable ears and beautiful brindle markings with a white chest. He is still quite young and is full of energy. He would best suited to a home where he can get lots of exercise and some training. Please stop by the shelter to meet Kody.
Sheba is a beautiful, adult, orange tabby who has been at the shelter for over a month now. She has deep orange stripes and typical tabby markings. She loves to be scratched behind the ears . She tolerates other cats, but prefers to get all the attention. Please stop by to meet her.
