Cleo and Sunny

The Cornelius Animal Shelter has pets available for adoption. For more information about these or other adoptable pets, please contact the Cornelius Police Department. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Read on for more about this week’s pets.Cleo is an adorable buff and white pit bull terrier mix puppy that was picked up as a stray on May 15th.  We think she is about 6-8 months old. She has a sweet personality, is very affectionate and gets along well with other dogs. She would be a good fit for someone who wants a jogging buddy and could give her lots of exercise. She has adorable markings on her face and looks like she might have a little shepherd mixed in. Please stop by and meet Cleo. She deserves a loving home with plenty of room for her to play.

Sunny is an intact, orange male tabby who was picked up as a stray in Cornelius in May. He was wearing a little black collar with a bell. No one has come forward to claim him yet, so he is currently available for adoption. He is friendly and curious and patiently waiting for a new home. He is up to date on all his shots and will be neutered prior to adoption. If you would like to meet Sunny, please stop by the shelter.
