Local dogs and their families enjoyed dinner outside Tuesday night at Prosciutto’s Pizzeria, Pub & Restaurant in Cornelius to benefit animal rescue. The restaurant will donate ten percent of its sales Tuesday to the North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue.
“This charity is near and dear to our hearts and many of our regulars, including our general manager, Keith Sauve, who fosters pets regularly,” Owner Joel Pfyffer said.
The event brought in more than $200 for the rescue organization, he said.
Mr. Pfyffer plans to host another charity event at the restaurant, at 20920 Torrence Chapel Road, in July.
