The Cornelius Animal Shelter has pets available for adoption. For more information about these or other adoptable pets, please contact the Cornelius Police Department. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Read on for more about this week’s pets.

Sadie is a intact, female, hound mix who was brought to the shelter over a month ago. She has adorable black and tan markings on her face and has very long legs. She has a sweet personality and loves to take walks and to play. She gets along well with other dogs and would make a great family pet. All of her playmates have been adopted and we would love to find a loving home for her, too. 
 
Daisy is a sweet 3-month-old female kitten who was picked up as a stray along with her siblings when she was about 8 weeks old.  She is now ready for adoption and we would love to find her a new home. She is very affectionate and loves to play. Please stop by the shelter to meet her.

Both Cinco and Sassy, who were featured here last week, have been adopted. Casey, who was featured a few weeks has also found a forever home.
