Floppy, a droopy eared black rabbit who lives at the Silver home on Churchill Road, was reunited with his owners Wednesday afternoon after a day on the lam.
Sam and Kiara Silver, the children of Mike and Jodie Silver, came to the police department Wednesday at around 3 p.m. to claim Floppy. The pet had declined to return home after a day of eating grass and romping in the yard, according to Mike Silver.
Police had picked up the lost pet after he was found on Downing Street, not far from home. A neighbor saw a missing-pet report on the Internet and told the Silvers to check with police.
At the department Wednesday afternoon, police officers brought Floppy out from his holding cell.
One thing puzzled Kiara, though. As they prepared to leave, she pointed to the front entrance of Town Hall and asked her dad, “How did Floppy get in the doors?”
