Huntersville Police are offering a reward and appealing for help as they search for two suspects in the Aug. 6 robbery of Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint in Huntersville; they are considered armed and dangerous. Elsewhere, Davidson Police responded to reported assaults and a theft of construction equipment in town, and Davidson College Police investigated stolen bicycles and issued numerous citations over the weekend. CONCORD – Online retail giant Amazon.com plans to open its first North Carolina distribution center next to the Concord Regional Airport. Work could begin as early as November on the $4.4 million, 222,500-square-foot distribution center in one of two Silverman Group shell buildings being built in the Concord Airport Business Park.

"If women won’t stand up for themselves, men will continue to knock them down — brutally and literally.
