Zola "Pat" Howard
She was born on October 31, 1921 in Mooresville, to the late Van and Hattie Mann Helms. She was retired from Mooresville Mills/Burlington Industries. She was an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville. She also was a fabulous Samaritan, always helping others in need. With her wonderful smile she made everyone feel better. Jeanne Mandt
Jeanne Auer Mandt, 81, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was surrounded by her family when she passed.
She was born on June 16, 1930 in Charleston, W. Va., to the late Harry Victor and Marie Gertrude Oldoerp Auer. She worked at Union Carbride in Charleston, W. Va.; the Leo Agency in Huntsville, Ala.; Lotus Miller’s in Mooresville; and retired from the personnel department at Davidson College.

Oliver "O.C." Mabry Jr.
Oliver Cleveland “O.C.” Mabry, Jr., 93, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center.
He was born on April 13, 1919 in Spartanburg, S.C., to the late Oliver Cleveland and Myrtle Fowler Mabry. He was the co-owner with his wife of Mabry’s Washerette in Mooresville for over 42 years. George Smith
George Barron Smith, known as “Sonny,” of Troutman, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012. He was 82.
He was born Jan. 25, 1930, to the late Lathan Fielding Smith “Jigs” and Mae Rea Smith in Troutman. He graduated from Troutman High School then attended North Carolina State University for a year and was a walk on for the baseball team.

Michael Faircloth
Michael Thomas Faircloth, 32, of Mooresville, died May 8, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville.
He was born on January 9, 1980 in Jacksonville, Fla., to Milton Keith Faircloth and Jennifer Cunniff McArthur. He served in the US Army. He was currently working for Sunbelt Rentals.
Michael was captain of many yacht charters on Lake Norman and loved being on the water. He was an avid scuba diver. He was also actively involved in his community. Continue Reading
