In Redmond, Ben May’s death spawns a memorial

Friends of Ben May, who died last week in his adopted Redmond, Wash., have erected an impromptu memorial to him at the city park where his body was found Saturday. Flowers, photos, candles and hand-written messages all have been offered in tribute to the 31-year-old Davidson native.

Friends and family mourn for Ben May

Friends and family in North Carolina and Washington State are mourning the loss of Ben May, a Davidson native who had been living in Redmond, Wash. Mr. May had been missing since March 4. Friends found his body Saturday, March 13, while searching in a Redmond park, where police said he took his own life. Read the full story
