Margaret Ann Collins Moore, 80, of Charlotte, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House. She was born on March 16, 1932 in Denmark, S.C., to the late David and Mary Collins. Jim Hinchey
Ollie James (Jim) Hinchey, 68, of Cornelius, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
He was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., on Aug. 28, 1944 to Allen Drewery Hinchey, Sr. and Permelia Louise Wilson. In addition to his parents, three brothers and one sister, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Keith Hinchey.

Edgar Eugene Osborne Sr., 77, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
He was born on May 7, 1935 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Irene Stickley Poole and Clarence E. Osborne. He was a veteran serving in the US Air Force and was a retired long distance truck driver. He was a member of the Mooresville Masonic Lodge #496 AF & AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Charlotte and was an Oasis Shriner. He was a member of Houston Road Baptist Church in Troutman. Mildred Johnson
Mildred Godbey Johnson, 91, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born on April 24, 1921 in Davie County, to the late Martin Luther and Ossie Mae Ratledge Godbey. She was a 1943 graduate of Davis Hospital School of Nursing. She was retired after 35 years of service as a nursing supervisor at the Iredell County Health Department. She later worked as the nursing supervisor at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and also the 3rd Shift nursing supervisor at Brian Center in Mooresville. Read the full story

Sylvanus Carter
Rev. Sylvanus Carter, 85, of Charlotte died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, with his beloved wife by his side. Born June 18, 1927 in Holland, Ky., he was a son of the late David Allen Carter and Viola Pippen Carter.
Before retiring to North Carolina, he was a pastor of the Church of the Nazarene for 56 years in Illinois and Indiana and a proud veteran of the US Navy serving his country during WWII. Read the full story

Penny Gillespie
Penny Lloyd Gillespie, 59, of Huntersville fought cancer for 13 years and passed away peacefully Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born on February 7, 1953 in Charlotte. Penny graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1971. She worked at Sunox for 20 years.

Peggy Lou Orbison Stuart, 78, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Palliative CareCenter in Newton.
She was born on February 14, 1934 in Rowan County, NC, to the late Edward Eldridge and Beulah Mae Parker Orbison. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in China Grove.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Ernie” Ernest Stuart, Jr.; brothers, Cecil Orbison, Derrell Orbison, Wayne Orbison; and grandson, David Scott Karriker. Read the full story

Daphna Jean Lemmond Malone of Huntersville Oaks went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. She was 86. Daphna was born in Monroe, N.C., to Eugene Lemmond and Vergie Medlin Lemmond.
In addition to being predeceased by her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Samuel Patrick Malone, Sr., and one brother Harry Eugene Lemmond.
Surviving are her son Samuel Patrick Malone, Jr. and wife Margie of Cornelius, and daughter Belinda Stevens of Huntersville, NC; Sister Mae Dean Williams (husband Bill) of Pittsboro, NC, Brother Donald Franklin Lemmond of Brunswick, GA; numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at James Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1 pm. The family would like to express their appreciation for the tender care given by the staff of Huntersville Oaks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Davidson.
