Ruby Josey
Ruby Turner Josey, 74, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1938, in Iredell County, to the late Marvin and Connie Stanley Turner. She was retired from Race City Exxon and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Josey; son, Eugene David Josey; and brothers, Arnold and Glenn Turner.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Overcash and husband, Donnie of Cleveland, Tim Josey and wife, Pamela, Connie Kennerly and husband, Todd, Michael Josey all of Mooresville; sisters, Hazel Edison of Charlotte, Joyce Herman of Taylorsville, Alice Warren of Statesville, Carol Gryder of Statesville; grandchildren, Jason, Chris, T.J., Caroline, Jessica, Rebekah, B.J., Michael; and great grandchild, Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Carlton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:30 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
