Carol Stewart

Carol Jane Murphy Stewart, 75 of Cornelius, formerly of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., passed away Aug. 3, 2012, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 15, 1936, in Newark, N.J., to the late John and Helen Murphy.

Survivors include her husband Bill Stewart, daughters Dale Newman and husband Jeff of Cornelius and Jill Rudnick and husband Ken of Center Moriches, N.Y., sister Marilyn Prush of Smithtown, N.Y., and grandchildren: Matthew, Meghan, Connor, and Tori. She is and will forever be loved and missed. Enjoy your reunions at the Rainbow Bridge as we cherish your memory in our hearts.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Carol’s name to your local Humane Society.
