He had been a resident for the last 13 years at the Brian Center Retirement Apartments on Reddman Road in Charlotte and most recently at the Brian Center in Mooresville.
Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Keith Dodd, who died at 9 months of age, also from Spina Bifida.
Mr. Dodd is survived by his mother’s twin sister, Geneva Payne Bridges of Mooresville, and his uncle, Jacob Timothy Payne, Jr. of Mebane, N.C. He is also survived by his cousins, Charles Payne Bridges and wife Yvonne, of Mooresville, and Timothy Roland Bridges and wife Hsiu Chiu, of Taiwan, and second cousins, Thomas (Tommy) Martin Bridges and Elizabeth (Beth) Martin Bridges of Charlotte.
