Mozelle Johnson

Mozelle H. Johnson, 90, of Cornelius began living her new life on July 6, 2012. She was reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, the Rev. T. Clifford Johnson, who passed away July 7, 2007.

She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Robert Zackary Dancy and Heather Jean Johnson.

Mozelle’s life had been blessed by being a minister’s wife, choir director, beautician and furniture salesperson before retiring to North Carolina 26 years ago.

She is survived by her three children: Lynelle and Rob Dancy of Cornelius, Geoffrey and Peggy Johnson of Gambrills, Maryland and David Johnson of Cornelius, three grandchildren, Travis and Tina Dancy of Cornelius, Kimberly and Ken Burnett of Davidson, Greg Johnson of Gambrills, Maryland and six great-grandchildren, Todd, Kelly, Layna, Joseph, Kace and Koy.

A memorial service will be at First Baptist Church Huntersville 2:00 p.m Sunday, July 8, 2012. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith Street, Davidson, N. C. 28036. Our lives were enriched by Perette Hayes and Linda Niles of Hospice. We extend loving appreciation to our caregivers, Olena Chlek and Diane Helms for the past six years.
