Bertha Sturgill Marlow, 82, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
She was born on December 2, 1929 in Alleghany County, to the late Bert and Mable Hodge Sturgill. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harl Avery Marlow; brother, Bill Sturgill; and sister, Viola Burns.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Choate and husband, Dean of Sparta, NC, Dianna Siegfried of Wichita Falls, TX, Ellen Marlow of Mooresville, Lisa Starrett and husband, Harvey of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Wanda Goad of Woodlawn, VA, Norma Randalman of Yadkinville, NC; brothers, Wade Sturgill of Sparta, Junior Sturgill of N. Wilkesboro, Roger Sturgill of Sparta; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; and special family friend, Pat Oldham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 2 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Danny Marlow and Elder Robbie Huff officiating. Burial will follow the service at Iredell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
