Carl Gene Broach, 84, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
He was born on November 8, 1927 in Lafayette, Ind., to the late Carl Zim and Marie Witt Broach. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy. Mr. Broach was a member of Coddle Creek ARP Church in Mooresville and a member of the Mooresville VFW.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Bumbleburg.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Sparger Broach; children, Terry Broach, Carla J. Lockerbie, Dennie Broach, Donnie Broach, David Broach and wife, Carolyn; sister, Margaret “Mogue” Curts, Bea Worthington; brother, Danny Broach; and grandchildren, Grant and Jarryd Broach, Lucas and Jacob Lockerbie, Bradley, Jeremy, Tina, Crystal, Michael, and Wesley Broach.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 29 at Coddle Creek ARP Church with Rev. James Hunt officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow the service in the church cemetery.
