Robert “Bob” Wainright Atwell Sr., 89, of Mooresville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. Born Feb. 9, 1925, in Iredell County, he was a son of the late Augustus “Gus” and Dora Connelly Atwell. Janice Kaye Sherrill Stutts, 66

Janice Kaye Sherrill Stutts, 66, of Sherrills Ford Rd., Terrell, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015, at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born February 13, 1948, in Iredell County , she was loved and raised by her grandparents Larrie Bain and Lee Ona Sherrill.

Mrs. Stutts was a retired Teacher’s Assistant for the Catawba County School System having 23 years of service. She was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church, Terrell.

Mrs. Stutts was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Kenton Stutts. She is survived by her children, Jason W. Stutts (Ann) and Stacy S. Ballard (Brian); sister, Ann R. Howard (Charles); and grandchildren, Olivia Stutts, Davis Stutts, Braden Stutts, Baine Ballard and Eastyn Ballard.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM, Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church, Terrell, with Reverend Dr. Robert Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105,  Rehobeth United Methodist Church Children’s Council, 9297 Sherrills Ford Rd, Terrell, NC 28682 or Catawba Regional Hospice, 7473 Sherrills Ford Rd., Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
