Jane Scruggs Camp, 81, of Huntersville, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital Charlotte. Born Oct. 8, 1930 in Mooresboro, N.C., she was a daughter of the late John Howard Scruggs and Gracie Mae Webb Scruggs.

Mrs. Camp became a member of the First Baptist Church of Huntersville in 1952, retired from First Union National Bank after 25 years of service and loved to travel. Most recently she resided at the Laurels at Highland Creek and the Huntersville Oaks. Continue Reading

Alice Dugan Kopp of Davidson passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012, with Parkinson’s Disease. She was 85. Mrs. Kopp was born Sept. 11, 1926, in Elizabeth, N.J. She moved to North Carolina in 1965, living in Raleigh, Cary, Pinehurst, and most recently, Davidson.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph Dugan (Miriam) of Lookout Mountain, TN; four children, Virginia Kopp Hall (Robert) of Seneca SC, Dr. Vincent Joseph Kopp (Katherine) of Chapel Hill NC, Alice Kopp Loeffler (Joseph) of Cary NC, and Eileen Kopp Robinson (Michael) of Cornelius NC; and by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Skylar Jean Wyatt, of Alexis, infant daughter of William Robert “WR” and Melissa Shaw Wyatt, went to be with the Lord May 18, 2012 at Davis Regional Medical Center.

Frederick Michael “Fred” Scully, 29, of Davidson, died May 19 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. He was born on June 21, 1982 in Princeton, N.J., to Douglas and Patricia Scully.

Fred graduated with honors from Wake Forest University in 2005, after earning both a BS and MS in Accounting. He met the love of his life, Cynthia, at Wake Forest, and they married in Charlotte in 2006. They welcomed their beautiful daughter, Carrington Grace, into the world on July 7, 2010.
