(SOURCE: MUMPO, Jan. 31, 2008) – The Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization (MUMPO) will hold two open houses this month to kick-off the public involvement efforts associated with the update to its long-range transportation plan (LRTP).
The LRTP is a federally-mandated, long-term planning document detailing the transportation improvements and policies to be implemented in MUMPO’s planning area. Or in other terms, it will outline where and how roads, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities will be built up to the year 2035.
We invite you to attend one of the two open houses to tell us what your priorities are for our region’s transportation future. There will be no formal presentations, so feel free to show up at any time during the time periods listed below.
