The drop-off will take place between 5-7pm at the Charlie District of the Lincoln Country sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office offers this service because disposing of medicine by tossing it in the trash or flushing it down the toilet is harmful for the environment.

The following items will be accepted at Thursday’s drop-off:

All over-the-counter medications
Vitamins and supplements
Prescription medication
Liquid medications in leak-proof containers
Any medicated ointments and creams

No aerosol cans will be accepted. Drop-off will be totally anonymous and no questions will be asked.
