Have questions about immunizations? The federal Centers for Disease Control has a “The Parents’ Guide to Childhood Immunizations” helps parents and caregivers learn about the role vaccines play in helping keep children healthy.

The color booklet, updated in 2010 and reprinted in 2012, includes a glossary and list of resources and is illustrated with children’s artwork.

There has been a lot of discussion lately about the use of a simple blood test to detect prostate cancer in men. Some have questioned its continued use, saying it’s not reliable and could lead to unnecessary concerns or treatments. But National Public Radio reports there’s a counterpoint, suggesting that what’s needed is better communication between men and their doctors about tests results for PSA, or prostate-specific antigen.
