Local chiropractor Dr. Matthew Zimmerman recently passed his national certification in extremity adjusting. Dr. Zimmerman, of Davidson, runs Zimmerman Family Wellness, 21031 Catawba Ave., Cornelius.

HUNTERSVILLE - Early registration is underway for the Run Wild 5K and Wild Child Fun Run on May 12 at Birkdale Residence Club in Huntersville, and runners who register early will save $5 and receive a race packet with coupons and deals. The race is presented by the African Children’s Project, a 501(c)(3) organization run entirely by volunteers to benefit children who have been orphaned as a direct result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa.
