“Live with fearless joy” has become the unofficial mantra of this year’s Connor House Bosom Buddies gala at Davidson College. Hernan Moyano, this year’s keynote speaker, adopted the phrase after the passing of his wife, Sandra, who was diagnosed with breast cancer just days after their wedding.

Bosom Buddies, which returns March 22, is the largest and most successful student-run philanthropic event in Davidson College history. The annual gala hosts more than 300 Davidson students, faculty, parents, local residents and alumni. (Tickets went on sale this week. Details below.) Read the full story

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Davidson will host a Mental Health Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 7 to 8:30pm, in the church nave. It’s open to the public.
