Snap Fitness introduces ‘suspension training’

Snap Fitness 24-7 of Davidson has introduced a new group program for “suspension training,” which uses participants’ own body weight to help develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability.
The program use the TRX Suspension Trainer, a steel frame with hanging straps that can be used in hundreds of exercises toward a variety of goals.
The TRX system was created by a former Navy SEAL. Certified trainers guide participants through exercises that deliver a fun and challenging total-body workout, according to Snap Fitness. The equipment is suitable for people of all fitness levels and users can adjust how they use through changes in foot, hand or body position.
“We’re very excited to bring TRX Suspension Training to our facility and feel that it is a great way to differentiate ourselves from other gyms,” Amie Cennamo, co-owner of the Davidson Snap Fitness, said in a press release. “Integrating TRX training also allows us to maximize our space so we can provide more value to our members.”
Snap Fitness recently expanded into vacant space next door to its 130 Harbour Place site, off I-77 Exit 30, so it could offer additional services.
